11/21/2018 Solid Waste System

Solid Waste - Collection 11/21/2018 Solid Waste - Collection Pasco County does not pick up your trash and recycling. Trash / recycling is picked up by a licensed private hauler you pay directly. (Your HOA or CDD may pay this for you.) This is known as a “subscription” service. Curbside trash is collected twice a week. The maximum charge is $12.44 per month. If you have trash service, you also have recycling service - at no extra cost. Recycling service must be provided at least twice per month. Your hauler provides the schedule for trash and recycling. Pasco residents may take trash (in normal amounts) to county Solid Waste facilities without charge.

11/21/2018 Solid Waste - Disposal Your trash is incinerated to produce electricity. Pasco County has landfill operations. For example, construction and demolition debris is buried in a Class III landfill at the West Pasco Resource Recovery facility. Each single-family residential property is assessed $62.00 per year on the non-ad valorem section of the property tax bill. This covers the disposal cost for normal household waste generated from each household. Multi-family and mobile residences are charged a pro-rated fee. This fee has not changed for nine years.
