Masters Course for Indonesia Master’s Short Course - Forest Measurements and Reporting Purpose / Objective: increase capacity and resilience in the Indonesian government Two week intensive course at Melbourne University, Australia 30 Indonesian Government Officials from key ministries involved in MRV 5 Facilitators from FAO, GFOI, University of Melbourne Mix of presentations in morning sessions and hands on activities / breakout groups in the afternoons Bilateral activity paid by Australian government @GFOI_FOREST GFOI.ORG GFOI1
REDDcompass as a GFOI platform The course was delivered in the framework of REDDcompass platform was used as basis for the students to identify gaps and needs each decision step was taken in the group of the Ministry officials Students received content in the mornings, and in afternoons worked in groups to complete needs assessment / gap analysis / and work planning within the framework of REDDcompass @GFOI_FOREST GFOI.ORG GFOI1

What comes next Describe what (if any) follow up activities are planned The Masters Short Course is an official offering of the University of Melbourne – can be activated on request and FAO and its partners can provide the training Professional teaching expertise and learning environment of a University combined with practical expertise and experience from GFOI partners The course structure and content is continuously evolving and improving from student feedback REDDcompass was the framework of the course – Indonesia now has started his MRV gap assessment using REDDcompass that can be of help to coordinate international partners. @GFOI_FOREST GFOI.ORG GFOI1
