Risk Management Division Overview Mission: Created to protect and conserve the State of New Mexico’s human, physical, and financial resources by providing multi-line shared risk pool offering general and specialty coverage programs, employee health and other benefits and legal defense in certain matters. Performance Measures: • Projected financial position of the public property fund. • Projected financial position of the workers’ compensation fund. • Projected financial position of the public liability fund.

RMIS Project Objectives Risk Management Division (RMD) is initiating the Risk Management Information System Replacement Project in an effort to modernize the legacy software with a Commercial Off-the- shelf (COTS) solution, developed and designed specifically for the insurance industry, in order to improve efficiencies and to provide better services to the RMD constituents. The project encompasses the following activities: Documenting existing “As-Is”, and future-state “To-Be” business processes; Development of RFP requirements and associated documentation for the procurement of a replacement software solution; Acquisition of software licensing products required for the new software solution; Installation and configuration of the computing environment required to support the software solution including the Development, Quality A, Disaster Recovery, and Production environments; Data conversion and migration services required to transfer data from the legacy system to the replacement system; Development and testing of data interfaces required to exchange data with existing subsidiary systems User Acceptance Testing of the entire replacement software product; and, Transition to operations services required to place the software product in Production.
