Commission Fulfillment

Commission Fulfillment involves: Evangelism Church Planting World Missions

The missionary heart of the local church: Springs from the heart and nature of God Himself. God is Spirit God is Light God is Love God is Consuming Fire

The missionary heart of the local church: 2. Springs from that fact that the local church is the instrument of God to fulfill His Eternal Purpose.

The missionary heart of the local church: 3. Finds its impetus in the commission given to it by Jesus Himself. Preaching the Gospel to every creature Witnessing of Christ to the ends of the earth Baptizing all those who respond to the Gospel Making disciples out of all those who were converted Bringing healing to all those in such need

The missionary heart of the local church: 4. Is further fueled by the condition of all mankind apart from Christ. All are sinners and under the sentence of death All are children of wrath All are alienated from the life of God All are lost and need to be saved All are destined for eternal damnation

The missionary heart of the local church: 5. Is inspired by the message that it bears. Jesus is the only way of salvation The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation The Gospel is a message of reconciliation The Gospel opens the door to abundant life

The missionary heart of the local church: 6. Should be challenged by God’s desire for all men to be saved.

The missionary heart of the local church: 7. Must be activated by the realization that the commission of Christ will only be fulfilled by the church in the church age.

The missionary heart of the local church: 8. Should be motivated by being a mature expression of the local church. Every mature local church should be autonomous, that is: Self-governing Self-supporting Self-propagating

The local church propagates itself in several ways: Reaching individual souls through aggressive evangelism in its local community. Raising up and equipping leaders to carry responsibility and vision.

The local church propagates itself in several ways: Extending the Kingdom of God in their own nation by planting other reproducing local churches. Touching the nations of the world through their own or cooperative efforts with other local churches.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” --Jesus
