Operation Inform 2010 What Prospective Students Need to Know About Admissions Decisions

Operation Inform 2010 Today’s Program: Review general background information about selectivity This workshop will take a look at the SUNY application review process in a variety of categories including special talent and middle-range students (GPA of 80-85) Panelists will review actual applications and discuss their campus’ approach to application review

SUNY Applications vs. Seats Available Operation Inform 2010 SUNY Applications vs. Seats Available The Power of SUNY – A high quality education at an affordable price for students from New York and beyond Applications have increased dramatically in recent years across the system, including both Spring and Fall 2010 Number of seats available constrained by financial considerations and seating capacity limitations

Admissions Information Summary Operation Inform 2010 Admissions Information Summary Mid-50 percent ranges If GPA and exam scores are the listed range, applicant’s chances are good for admission. If they fall below, consider what else the student has to offer the campus: leadership, special talent, or special circumstances.
