Recent Government Initiatives in Hong Kong Buildings Energy Efficiency Funding Schemes Carbon Accounting and Carbon Reduction is a hot topic in Hong Kong HK$300million(US$38 million) to partially subsidize building owners to conduct energy efficiency projects to upgrade energy efficiency performance i.e. lighting, electrical, air-conditioning, life and escalator installations HK$150 million (US$19 million) to partially subsidize building owners to carry out energy-cum-carbon audits to review the use of energy and quantify the GHG emissions associated with their buildings & identify possible GHG reductions arising from building operations
