SUPPORT IN THE SKELETAL SYSTEM by:Krista Peninger, Kayln Ellenburg, Morgan Hudson, Ivy Brucker, Kenzie Crawford, Larrisa Duvall

Support System -You wouldn't be able to live because the red marrow makes the red blood cells, and you need red blood cells to live. -Without bones, you would have no structure to your body.

Support System -no movement without support:rely on your bones to move -you need joints to bend and move

Support System Your friend was in an accident and fractured his femur; what relevance does it have to the function of support? What statistic for elderly recovering from hip fracture? 1 out of 5 hip fracture patients die within a year with their injury.

ANSWER The femur is a big bone and if you were to break it, you would feel severe pain and lose all movement.
