Types of Paella There are 6 main types of Paella. The first, and original Paella is Paella Valenciana. The next, is the seafood version, Paella Marisco. After that comes the Paella Mixta. For vegetarians, comes Paella Vegetal. Then there is Paella Negra. For those who don’t like rice, is Paella Fideus.

Paella Valenciana Paella Valenciana is prepared with mainly meat, such as: Chicken, Pork, and/or rabbit meat. If you are a meat lover, this is the dish for you!

Paella Marisco Paella Marisco consists of seafood, such as: Shrimp, Muscles, Clams, and prawns. You can add in your own seafood favorites, but this is the traditional way of preparing Paella Marisco.

Paella Mixta If you enjoy both meat and seafood, this is the Paella for you! This Paella consists of: Chicken, Muscles, squid, shrimp and bell peppers.

Paella Vegetal For vegetarians, or people who just enjoy vegetables all together, this is for you. Paella Vegetal has: Onions, Rice, Bell peppers, Eggplant, Zucchini, Tomatoes, and much more.

Paella Negra Paella Negra, is for those who enjoy squid, and squid ink. This Paella consists of: Rice, squid ink, squid, crabs, and more. If you are looking for a new, unique food, this one is for you!

Paella Fideus Paella Fideus replaces the rice, with noodles. It is most similar to paella Valenciana, only the rice is now noodles. This dish is for noodle lovers!

How to prepare Paella Vegetal To prepare Paella Vegetal, you first need to cut your onion, and get your vegetable stock and rice ready. After your onions are heated up, you than add in the rice, and vegetable stock. While your rice and onions are cooking, and the rice absorbs the vegetable stock, you than take it off the heat, and begin cutting the rest of your vegetables.

How to prepare cont. After you cut your vegetables, you put them on a baking sheet, and put oil, salt, and pepper on them, and put them in the oven at 450 degrees until it turns golden brown on the edges. Than, you add everything in a large pan, and put it in a casserole dish. Put tinfoil over the casserole dish and put in the oven for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and other spices you enjoy! Serve!
