Adaptations

Adaptations: Example: A cactus needs to store water So, it has thick stems and leaves A cactus needs protection So, it has spines A physical structure or behavior that helps an organism survive and reproduce.

Camouflage: The shape, color or pattern of an animal that helps it hide.

Hibernation: A deep sleep that some animal go through during the winter months.

Dormancy: A resting period in which plants stop growing.

Migration: A seasonal movement of animals from one place to another.

A vulture is a scavenger Niche: A vulture is a scavenger The role (or job) an organism has in its environment. A tree can be shelter or provide food

An antelope is prey A lion is a predator

Pollinators: Insects, birds, and other organisms that move pollen from one flower to the next.

Extinction: Happens when a species has died out.
