Progressive Legislation Chapter 9 Reteaching Activity The Progressive Movement, 1890–1919 Progressive politicians actively pursued reform, aided by muckraking journalists who exposed corruption in all areas of American life. Progressivism sought to elevate the public good over private interests. Presidents Roosevelt, Taft, and Wilson introduced reforms that continue to impact the nation. DIRECTIONS: Complete the chart by identifying the group(s) affected by the act and the accomplishment of each act listed below. Also identify who was president at the time of the act’s passage. Number one is completed for you as an example.
