Matthew 20: 25-28 “Hey church members: I know the world says put yourself first. Look after number one, But that is not they way you are supposed to do it…” Thom Rainer, p. 49
How we see something or someone often determines our response to it!
Before I saw the Rockies the first time, I thought “No Big Deal” “They are just big hills”
One day, we headed west on I70 out of Kansas toward the mountains for a church youth ski trip
What causes us to change what we do, how we do it or the frequency of our actions? Proximity has much to do with our willingness to act.
Philippians 2: 5-11 Same mind as Christ
Humility is the place where our hearts turn into Christ’s heart…Where we find the heart of a servant in our own lives
Healthy churches have a large percentage of it’s members in Bible study, in prayer and in service. Results are growth and impact in a community High expectations = High results
Guide to service (Galatians 5) * Called to live in freedom and use our freedom to serve one another in love. * Allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives. The 90 Day Difference Stipulations: Ask for nothing from the church. They are not to complain in any way. If 10 People committed Just 2 hours a week For 90 days 10 x 2 x 90 = 180 additional hours of service to church and the community (I Will by Thom Rainer)
What a difference a year could make! How about 10 members serving 2 hour for 52 weeks? 1040 hours
serves with the same mind as Christ. I will Christian serves with the same mind as Christ.
