GAMING IN KODU – Lesson 1

LO: Learn how to create a world and control a character using Kodu. Learning Objective Write the Learning objective onto your Self Assessment Sheet LO: Learn how to create a world and control a character using Kodu.

Using Kodu Kodu is controlled using the Xbox controller: Top left-hand side of Kodu

Create your world Use Kodu to create a world and include: Different heights Different terrain Variety of colours River running through the middle Add objects to the world, including some that can be collected (ie, apples)

Adding a Player Add a character to use as the main player. Program your character to be controlled by the user. Program your character to collect the objects you have added.

Self Assessment Use your Self Assessment Sheet to assess your progress against today’s learning objective.   
