TEOG – Initial Year (IY) Eligibility Student is classified by the institution as a Texas resident Student is registered with Selective Service, or exempt Student has a 9-month EFC of no more than $5,609 Student is enrolled at least 1/2 time Student is enrolled in the first 30 SCH* or equivalent *excluding dual enrollment or credits earned by examination Student has not been convicted of a felony or crime involving a controlled substance NOTE: Additional requirements may apply so please refer to the program rules and guidelines to ensure compliance. TEXAS Grant Priority Model Consideration PRIORITY AREAS REQUIREMENT(S) Advanced Academic Program 12 hours of college credit (dual credit or AP) Complete the Recommended or Advanced High School Program or its equivalent Complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program TSI Readiness Meet the Texas Success Initiatives (TSI) assessment thresholds or qualify for an exemption Class Standing Graduate in the top 1/3 of the HS graduating class Graduate with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale or the equivalent Advanced Math Complete at least one math course beyond Algebra II Complete at least one advanced career and technical course, as permitted by the Texas Education Code To receive priority consideration for an IY award, an eligible student must meet the state priority deadline and at least one high school graduation requirement in at least two of the Priority Areas. Tuition Equalization Grant (TEG) TEG is only offered at private/independent institutions of higher education and can be awarded to both graduate and undergraduate students. TASFAA 2018 ABC Workshop
TEG – Initial Year (IY) Eligibility Student is classified by the institution as a Texas resident Student is registered with Selective Service, or exempt Student has financial need Student is enrolled at least 3/4 time in a degree plan leading to a first associate, baccalaureate, master’s, or doctoral degree Student is not concurrently receiving an athletic scholarship Student is not enrolled in a degree plan that is intended to lead to religious ministry NOTE: Additional requirements may apply so please refer to the program rules and guidelines to ensure compliance. TEG 2018-19 Award Maximums Undergraduate / Graduate students $3,364 Undergraduate students with exceptional need $5,046 Undergraduate students with exceptional need (defined as a student with an EFC less than or equal to $1,000) may receive up to 150% of the basic award ($3,364 x 150% = $5,046), not to exceed the student’s need or tuition differential. Texas College Work-Study Program (TCWS) TCWS provides eligible Texas students employment as a means to fund their education at public and private/independent institutions. TASFAA 2018 ABC Workshop

College Access Loan (CAL) Program The CAL Program provides alternative loans to Texas students at public and private institutions.
