SIN’S PRICE. MAN’S FEAR. GOD’S VICTORY. Dying SIN’S PRICE. MAN’S FEAR. GOD’S VICTORY.

The Enemy of Death ROMANS 4:13-25

Romans 4:3 Abraham’s faith was counted as righteousness. What did Abraham believe? What did Abraham believe that was different?

Abraham believed a promise from God. Romans 4:13 Abraham believed a promise from God.

Romans 4:17 Abraham believed two vital claims about God. 1. God is the enemy of death. 2. God is the creator of reality.

Romans 4:18-19 People hope for what can be expected. Believers look for the impossible. We “hope against hope.”

Having believed and hoped, we live. Romans 4:20-21 Having believed and hoped, we live.

That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.” Romans 4:22

23But the words “it was counted to him” were not written for his sake alone, 24but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification. Romans 4:23
