Statistics for aviation The complexities brought about by changes in technology but also in the operational, commercial and regulatory environments within air transport industry, have led, in some cases, to statistical data being presented without uniformity.

Statistics for aviation (cont’d) This course will introduce to some of the most important data series which ICAO collects. Objective: this course aims to: provide to those who need to collect or make use of international air transport statistics a basic understanding of the standard terminology used, how these data are collected and what they represent;

Statistics for aviation(cont’d) create a forum to discuss the key element of collecting date for airlines and airports; explain how to effectively conduct market research and to address some of the current and future challenge in data manipulation.

Statistics for aviation cont’d Designed for: the beginner, but it would be of benefit to any practitioner in the air transport industry, be it in government, airlines, airports, aviation consultants or specialized journalists. those who use air transport statistics for their professional activity, and who need to be aware of the changes which have taken place in the terms and definitions used in civil aviation statistics being presented in the public domain.
