FRIEDENSREICH HUNDERTWASSER
Friedensreich Hundertwasser, (b. 15.XII.1928 born in Vienna, d. 19, II.2000) - Austrian painter, printmaker, sculptor, artist, environmental activist, known primarily for the implementation of the building. From 1948 he studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, which he abandoned after 3 months. His style is characterized by avoidance of regularity, symmetry or straight lines and right angles. Typical elements of his projects are windows of different shapes and sizes. Introduced into the buildings are green plants, including trees growing on roofs and in the recesses of the walls. He used bold color combinations. Very often unique design characteristics in the form of color columns, turrets and domes with golden mosaics and ceramic tiles. His work is sometimes regarded as a creative continuation of the Vienna Secession, shows a clear influence of Gaudy architecture.
