What is globalisation? Globalisation is the process by which the world is becoming increasingly interconnected. We now communicate, trade, travel and share each other’s cultures more easily around the world. 5

Keywords to Learn: Interdependence: the relationship between two or more countries, usually in terms of trade. Globalisation: the increasing linkages between different countries throughout the world and the greater interdependence that results from this. Transnational Corporation: a corporation or enterprise that operates in more than one country. 6
