Life and Dignity of the Human Person Human life is sacred and the dignity of the person is the foundation of a moral vision for society.

Call to Community and the Common Good The human person is not only sacred but also social. The role of government and other institutions is to protect human life and dignity and to promote the common good.

Option for the Poor and Vulnerable The basic moral test of a society is how the most vulnerable members are faring.

Rights and Responsibilities Every person has a right to those things required for human decency. Corresponding to these rights are duties and responsibilities.

The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers If the dignity of work is to be protected, the economy must serve people, not the other way around.

Solidarity Solidarity is the conviction that we are born into a fabric of relationships, that our humanity ties us to others, that the gospel consecrates those ties and that the prophets tell us that those ties are the test by which our very holiness will be judged.

Care for God’s Creation Catholic tradition insists that we show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation.

What does our mission require? Personally: a willingness to leave our comfort zone and go where God is calling us. As a community: listening to the Word, worshiping our God, and serving Christ wherever he may be found in the world .
