CDM-Tm Elite Mini GU6.5 50W/930 - preliminary technical data Frequently asked questions When will this new mini lamp be available? The new lamp will be commercially available from October 1st 2011. Will the new lamp operate in existing 35W luminaires? That depends on temperature. We provide a separate design-in guide with a guideline to measure temperatures on the lamp. We can provide assistance for these measurements. We advice a ceramic lamp holder mounted with metal for temperature reasons (avoid plastics). Will the new lamp only operate with the new 50W mini gear? The 50W mini lamp will operate with all 50W HID Philips gear, both in mini and normal size, and with other brand EL gear with End of Life protection. Will Philips keep existing PGJ5 mini lamps in the portfolio? Yes. Our PGJ5 is unique because of its smallest dimensions in the industry and we will continue future supplies of the PGJ5 mini lamp for both initial and relamping business. We do not intend to introduce a 50W PGJ5 mini lamp.
