Verbs and expressions of will are often used when someone wants to influence the actions of other people. Verbs and expressions of emotion express someone’s feelings or attitude. © 2015 by Vista Higher Learning, Inc. All rights reserved.

When the main clause contains an expression of will or emotion and the subordinate clause has a different subject, the subjunctive is required. © 2015 by Vista Higher Learning, Inc. All rights reserved.
