Differences from Middle to High School Larger Campus No Lockers (except for PE) Late work rarely accepted for full credit Shift to student responsibility/self-advocacy with parent support Become more active in the community through clubs and sports

Student’s Responsibilities Study in groups Contact teachers via e-mail when absent to get homework Make use of conference periods. (Wednesday and Thursday mornings) FREE after school assistance (Tues-Thurs: 3:45-5:15) Attendance Use of a planner to write down homework and due dates each day Organization: Be prepared for class and take notes! Stick to a homework routine Avoid cramming
