اشكال التعليم الالكترونى التعليم المتمركز حول المتعلم يعتمد هذا النوع على النشاط الذاتي للمتعلم ويحرص على تقديم تعلم يتوافق مع قدراته، ويلبى الفروق الفردية بين المتعلمين، كما يهتم بتحليل الخبرات السابقة للمتعلم ومعرفة أفضل سبل عرض المحتوى يسعى التعليم الالكتروني إلى خلق بيئة معرفية يستطيع المتعلم التكيف معها موظفاً في ذلك كافة ما يتيحة هذا النمط التعليمي من إمكانية البحث- الحفظ-التنظيم –الاسترجاع-وإعادة تمثيل المعرفة التعليم المتمركز حول المعرفة التعليم المتمركز حول اساليب التواصل يتوقف أسلوب التواصل فى التعليم الالكتروني على مبدأ الآنية أو عدم الآنية فإما ان يكون التواصل يشكل متزامن او غير متزامن التعليم المتمركز حول اساليب العرض تتنوع أساليب عرض المحتوى فى التعليم الالكتروني مستغلة فى ذلك جميع إمكانيات ملتى ميديا الكمبيوتر فى العرض مع فنيات العرض من خلال صفحات الويب
