KQ: How can I use the PPEs to improve my future performance? Date: Thursday, 22 November 2018 KQ: How can I use the PPEs to improve my future performance? Starter: On your post it, write out the four topics from the PPE & RAG rate which you felt the most confident in. Be prepared to explain why you felt more confident in some topics than others. Studying Society A Education G Families G Crime & Deviance R 1

Work through the DIRT sheet, filling in your marks and analysing which topics & question-types you found the easiest/hardest. Using the mark scheme, work through each question to analyse where marks have been gained or lost. Use your green pen to take notes next to each answer. Evaluate your overall performance – identify two targets and next steps that will help you to improve your future performance (use the target bank below). Targets Improve ability to decode questions. Ensure I always follow the correct question structure. Learn the key concepts / key words. Ensure my answers are sociology-specific Include studies in my essays Next steps Regularly test myself on key terms Use the website to catch up with missed work / revise key content Purchase (and use!) a revision guide Attend enrichment Complete practice questions Revise the studies

Were you right with your predictions? Moving forward  If you achieved less than your target grade, you will need to redraft any answers that achieved less than 50%. If you achieved your target grade or higher, pick 3 questions to improve. Were you right with your predictions? Studying Society A Education G Families G Crime & Deviance R 3
