LEARNING EXCURSION TEAM# 9 Concealing and Revealing Identity Content/Subject Areas Art and English/Language Arts Age/Grade level 5-12 Project Objective Provide students an opportunity to reveal their identity through tattooing and art. Project Description Students understand and use similarities and differences between characteristics in the visual arts and language arts and other disciplines to peel back the layers of identity through tattooing. Technologies Used Word Press Prezi PowerPoint Voicethread Microsoft Word Please read the notes for both slides. These two slides are what your fellow educators will use to evaluate your project during the first two weeks of Sept. Enter only summary details of your project on this slide. You may link to other resources on the second page. Project Resources and Materials Prezi – Interactive Presentation Word Press – Full project presentation Voicethread – Collaborative communication tool for students Project Resources and Materials Embed documents and links to other resources you have created that are examples that show the nature and scope of your project. Select a few key documents to illustrate this and link to others. To embed a project resources, artifacts or materials: Have the resource document or file available. From the Insert… menu choose Object… Select Create from File… and click Browse… Find the file you want to include and click OK. Select Display as icon and click Change Icon… and add a suitable caption. Click OK to add the caption and click OK to embed the file. Use the Action button on the Insert ribbon to activate the object. Use Hyperlinks to link to websites, audio and video that you want to show. Do not embed video or audio, use links to video hosting sites or your school site. Open the Word documents by double clicking the icons. Clicking Save in Word will save the changes. NOTE this is slightly different than the “project template” it asks for three other things – Learning objective, 21st Century Skill and “after the forum”. Please be brief and specific. Please ensure that you have the full permission to use any images and video, as this project will be in the public domain.
