B c Reflections about Johannesburg, South Africa Jail Time January 1908 Mohandas Gandhi This non violent tactic made his movement more successful Gandhi was not afraid to face the consequences of his actions. B Gandhi spent 2,338 days in Jail But whether or not we succeeded in obtaining these conveniences, every one of us was firm in his resolution of passing his term in jail in perfect happiness and peace. Gandhi's approach to jail time would have a positive impact on his followers, the British, and world opinion. Gandhi was determined to spend his time in jail in a good way. He was happy.
