Public Sector Project Management Forum Fall 2012 *IGNITE* Project Management Update

Current Coordinates Status Active Project Management Methodology Policy Established corporate wide procedures to track projects (as defined in the policy) and established minimum project management requirements for major sized projects. Maintaining a corporate wide project register Established methodologies for project management based on PMBOK in mature PM areas such as IT & Engineering. PMO activities within IT & Engineering departments, including prioritization matrix for project selection.

Steering Towards / Future Directions Continue to educate & encourage sharing of PM methodology & its tools / techniques. Collect performance data for analysis related to the benefits of project management for projects. Moving from a static data Excel solution to house the Corporate Project Register to a real-time data software solution. Explore the value of Traditional PMBOK project management vs. Agile project management. Establish a PM Advisory Group that assists in corporate project management change initiatives.
