Macchu Picchu Located in Cuzco, Peru, this site is thought to have been an ancient Incan religious location or royal estate. It consists of more than 3,000 linked stone steps and is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It was built in the Peruvian Andes mountains in the midst of a tropical rainforest.

Salto Ángel Located in Venezuela, Salto Ángel is the world’s highest uninterrupted waterfall. The falls are located in the middle of the jungle, so tourists have to camp and hike to get to them. This site was featured in the movie Up.

Easter Island (Isla de Pascua) This Chilean Island is famous for its 887 statues created by the Rapa Nui people thousands of years ago. The stone statues symbolize the ancestors of the Rapa Nui and each one is 70 feet tall and weighs 300 tons.

Casa Rosada Casa Rosada is the executive mansion of Argentina, where the President lives. It is located in Buenos Aires and is considered a national historic monument. From 1536 – 1855 the house served as a fort for Argentinian troops until it was converted into a living space.

La Candelaria This historia neighborhood is located in Bogotá, Colombia. Several universities, libraries and museums are located here. Luis Angel Arango Library, in the heart of La Candelaria, has more than 1.1 million books in a variety of languages. It is the most visited library in Latin America.

Islas Galápagos The Galapagos Islands are located west of Ecuador. They are famed for the multitude of wildlife that live there, including marine iguanas, the Galapagos tortoise, the Galapagos hawk, and sea lions. 98% of the Islands are considered a national park in order to converse the species that live there and protect them from harm.
