Some Backgrounds Main Contents in AIRE Future Development
A lot of data resources in Internet
Crab Nebula
Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope
Astrophysical Integrated Research Environment All these requirements drive us to construct Astrophysical Integrated Research Environment (AIRE)
Main Contents in AIRE Data Archive Center (DAC). Data Processing Center (DPC). Collaborative Astrophysical Research Project System (CARPS)
Data Archive Center Its aim is to collect public astrophysical data as much as possible. Currently, we have ASCA, ROSAT, RXTE, Chandra, WMAP, GRO, about 1TB in total. We will collect much more data soon.
Data Processing Center Routine Astrophysical software like AIPS, IRAF, Heasoft, CIAO etc. has been installed in AIRE’s DPC servers. Easy and quick access to local DAC data. Provide an web based interface to process remote data interactively. Provide a parallel computing environment.
NFS Connected Data
VLBI Data Processing
HST Data Processing Via IRAF
Chandra Data Processing Via CIAO
RXTE Data Processing Via HEASOFT
Using MPI in DPC
CARPS Provide a simple but effective way to do collaborative research Users can edit text collaboration project files in a HTML interface, have whole functions (Such as compile and run programs, read references, process data, model fitting, write journal papers etc.) in DPC.
An Example of CARPS Project --- lowqpo Project lowqpo is intend to search Quasi Periodic Oscillation (QPO) signals from the lightcurves of AGNs and X-ray binary systems. It will also pick up the profiles of the QPO signals.
