Categories of Effects Physical effects: of or pertaining to the body. Emotional effects: any of the feelings of joy, sorrow, fear, hate, love that are due to drug abuse. Social effects: effects that relate to friendly companionship or relations. Mental effects: of or pertaining to the mind.

Physical: Poor hygiene and grooming. Not sleeping or sleeping too much. Loss of appetite. Weight loss or weight gain. Too hyperactive or too little energy. Cirrhosis Emphysema/COPD Heart damage Brain damage Variety of cancers

Emotional: Depressed Addicted Angry Lowered self control Lowered inhibitions/judgment Verbally/physically abusive Lowered self-esteem
