Long Term Effect of Rape Eating disorders Sexual problems Physical problems Drug and alcohol abuse Alienation and aloneness Suicide Here are some more long-term effects of rape: eating disorders (such as binging, or anorexia), sexual problems (you don’t want anyone touching you – not even your spouse or significant other), physical problems (this can go along with sexual problems and not wanting a sense of touch from anyone), drug an alcohol abuse, alienation (either intentionally or unintentionally afflicted on a person), lack of trust and of course – thoughts of suicide.
