Snow Emergency Signs
Snow Emergency Route
Snow Removal Code Parking and stopping of vehicles in the designated Emergency Snow Route is prohibited. Purpose of parking prohibition is to enable the Street Department to expeditiously and thoroughly remove snow from the streets. Parking prohibitions automatically become effective on any part of any snow emergency route when there has been an accumulation of snow and ice of 4” or more in one snowfall and shall be in effect until that street is cleared. Ordinance #430 established our designated Snow Emergency Route. City has posted special signs at intervals not exceeding one sign per block with the wording “Snow Emergency Route. No Parking During Emergency. Tow Away Zone.”
Snow Removal Code Any vehicle parked or left standing in violation of this section may be impounded per Section 4-222 of our code as deemed necessary by the officers of our City Police Department. If a vehicle is removed and impounded the owner must pay for any costs to remove and store it.
