Transition 1: Degree of Hydration Molecular Understanding of Three Transition States of Zwitterionic Polymer Network in Water Shaoyi Jiang, University of Washington, ACS PRF #48096-AC7 Transition 1: Degree of Hydration Zwitterionic Polymer Network in Water Inter-chain Crosslinking Intra-chain Crosslinking Diffusion coefficient of water increases significantly after the hydration of polymer network is saturated. OH-CBMA Water Transition 2: Association of Charge Pairs Transition 3: Bonded Interactions The maximum stability index of charge pairs indicates the transition when the equili. water content of gel is reached. The bonded energy of the polymer network shows the maximum water content it may hold.
