B. Causes of Strains 1. Lifting too much 2. Working a muscle too hard 3. Sudden movements
C. Where Do They Occur? Neck 2. Back 3. Hamstrings 4. Quads
II. Dislocations A. Displacement of a bone from its normal position at a joint B. Caused by a hard force C. Most common for fingers and shoulders
D. How Can You Tell If a Joint Is Dislocated? 1. Deformity at the Joint
III. Sprains What is a Sprain? Stretching and/or tearing of ligaments and/or cartilage at a joint Usually caused when a joint is forced beyond normal range of motion
