What’s the “Hoop” about Fiction & Nonfiction?

FICTION OR NONFICTION? What does it mean? How can you tell the difference?

FICTION A story that is created from the imagination. -The story is not real. -People do things that people really cannot do. -Animals can talk, wear clothes, or have jobs. -It may have silly pictures.

NONFICTION A story that is true and tells facts. -Text uses real people or animals. -Text uses real pictures with captions describing them. -It may have a Table of Contents, Index, or Glossary.
