INSPIRE Sub-GROUP 2017.4 VALIDATION DI Roland Grillmayer 16. März 2018, ISPRA

Reported Shortcomings PS Validation Background: Current CDDA-Reporting – Deadline 30.April CDDA Reporting obligations are now using the so called “Linked Approach” INSPIRE PS site datasets are used for the reporting obligations Protected sites are referenced by the INSPIRE ID

CDDA Reporting – The Linked Approach Mette Lund, EEA Biodiversity group, NRC Biodiversity data & information, 15 June 2017

Austrian WORKFLOW CDDA ReportinG Protected Site DB EA-Vienna WS-D: Synchronisation process ID-Matching & CDDA properties enrichment WS-E: Generation of Excel-sheet template – CDDA data type 2 WS-F: HALE Transformation CDDA data type II AT_CDDA2018_datatype2.xml WS-A: Download via INSPIRE Atom-Feed 9++ GML-Files - depending on the data structure of INSPIRE datasets WS-G: Final deliverables AT_CDDA2018_datatype2.xml + 9 ++ GML files: AT_ID.gml 8 x INSPIRE Download Services - Atom Feed 1 x INSPIRE Download Service - WFS Regional governments WS-C: Feedback cycle Quality improvement and clarification about the used INSPIRE localID WS-B: Dataset validation according data specification for protected site http://inspire-sandbox.jrc.ec.europa.eu/etf-webapp/

Reported Shortcomings PS Validation Uniqueness of the INSPIRE localID? GML-File examples PS from the regional governments in Austria:

Reported Shortcomings PS Validation Uniqueness of the INSPIRE localID? GML-File examples PS | regional government Austria

Reported Shortcomings PS Validation Uniqueness of the INSPIRE localID? GML-File examples PS | regional government Austria : No specific validation according the uniqueness of the INSPIRE localID?

Reported Shortcomings PS Validation Proposal for revision of assertion for extended codelist values DesignationValue and DesignationSchemeValue Upper Austria additional encode the national designation type which is suggested by EAA. Assertion is incomprehensible Poposal – possible to use the text as formulated in the introduction?

USABILITY Aspects ETF-Validator Regional government are overwhelmed to find all the conformance classes which must be used for the validation of data specifications. Expert user interface as now available important for explicit testing of certain conformance classes. Feedback form our regional governments: Is it possible to provide a interface (non-expert interface) with DS specific aggregated conformance classes? absolutely positive feedback from regional governments!!

USABILITY Aspects ETF-Validator Absolutely positive feedback from regional governments! Preference according the implementation priority of the working group (Metadata | Services | DS) Comment: Implementation of Annex II and III as soon as possible to be able to test harmonised datasets in a early stage
