What were the results of the Spanish-American War? At the end of the Spanish-American War, the United States gained the territories of the Philippines, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

Why was the Chisholm Trail important to America? The Chisholm Trail was important because it was used by the cowboys to herd cattle to the railheads.

What happened that made the United States declare war on Spain What happened that made the United States declare war on Spain? What war did this begin? The explosion of the USS Maine was the event that caused the United States to declare war on Spain. This began the Spanish- American War.

How did the Panama Canal help trade among countries? The Panama Canal helped get supplies from the Atlantic to the Pacific much quicker.
