Countries –members of CIHEAM and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes The Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece, established in 1985, is a constituent Institute of the International Centre of Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies - CIHEAM. Other Institutes: The Mediterranean Agronomic Institutes at Bari (Italy), Montpellier (France) and Zaragoza (Spain) CIHEAM country members: Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey.EU Classification: International Organization of European Interest.

Multilateral and Bilateral Development Assistance goals realised by MAICh MAICh and its activities have created a significant comparable to capacity building in the Mediterranean Basin and the Balkans countries and contributes to their economic development through the realisation of M.Sc.
