Weather Troubles In Different Countries

Every year the mankind suffers a lot from different kinds of natural troubles. Everything depends on the place we live in. Near the oceans and seas there is the risk of tsunami and storms, near the rivers and lakes it`s dangerous to live after the showers and heavy snowfalls, because they can cause floods. Hot weather can be the reason of the beginning of the forest fire or terrible drought.

As we know the consequences of the weather troubles can be both disastrous and just frightening. The examples are various: falling of a tree near your house because of the strong wind or flooding of your plantings…

but the most scared thing is loss of your own house and leaving people homeless.

Our neighbors from Russia experienced the destructive floods. The river in Krasnodar area went over its banks after the heavy night rain. Krymsk was under the water. There was a huge amount of sufferers.

Ukraine usually suffers from frosty weather in the end of spring, drought, heavy rains and hail. This year in the country there were terrible snow storms and it brought a lot of troubles to people, especially to the drivers (all the roads were trapped with snow).

And our friends from Morocco were victims of the unbearable drought. That situation had dramatic impact on the price of vegetables, meat and living in general, the death of livestock, the combustion of crops. It also took place the extravagant increase in water and electricity bills of farmers who had to use water supply instead of rain water.

For us, Belarusians, it is typical to deal with spring floods in many regions of our country, which cause considerable damage. The final result is flooded fields, roads and houses, contaminated wells in the countryside and a lot of mud everywhere.

Of course, the weather conditions do not depend on us but we have to be ready!

In every house there should be prepared the most necessary things. Here is the list of them: Warm clothes First-aid kit Tinned food

Before the appearance of any threatening situation local authorities should carry out different actions and campaigns according to this problem throughout the year monitor schools to explain how to act during the weather troubles

How to behave correctly in extreme situations to save your life and lives of others? First of all, do not panic, concentrate on the situation and act!

In the case of emergency some people are not protected and need help. It`s very important if the local authorities can give a hand on time. Here are its steps: inform in time react quickly (it is about emergency service) evacuate people patrol people in need and support the sufferers providing them with clothes, food, home and medicine

And what we, students, can do to cope with the weather troubles? We can take part in the volunteer movement: distribute the leaflets How to behave in the extreme situations among the local population, participate in creating teaching posters on the topic help to clean the streets from mud and garbage after the flooding, for example, or help to grow the new plants after the great forest fire.
