Opportunity for sustainable trade Consumers’ preference for products: natural, healthy, fair and environmentally friendly Rich biodiversity available and used in developing countries, however it is being depleted Trade can contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of BD 2 2

Support the development of BD-based sectors BioTrade network Activities are implemented by national, regional and international partners that foster BioTrade, its Principles and Criteria Established a platform of national, regional and international public and private organizations working for the conservation & sustainable use of biodiversity, and a fair and equitable distribution of benefits Support the development of BD-based sectors
