WHAT? It is used to ask about things or activities. Ex: What does he do at weekends? What is that? What is your job?

WHO? Asking about people. Ex: Who studies Russian? Ali studies Russian. Who is absent? Esra is absent.

Who wants to do the question. I want to do the question Who wants to do the question? I want to do the question. Who is your mother? The person with black hair is my mother.

WHOSE? Asking about possession. Ex: Whose is that car? It is Mr. Johnson’s Whose is this watch? It is Nicole’s (watch)

Whose jacket is this? It is Kübra’s jacket. Whose pencils are these? They are Elif’s pencils.

WHEN? We use when to ask questions about times - periods of time, days and dates, and times of the day. On In At

Ex: When do you get up? I get up at 6 o’clock. When do you graduate from İHL? In 2015

When is your wedding anniversary? It is on the 20th (of) July. When is your English exam? It is on the 11th of January.

WHICH? Asking to specify a thing or person from a number of things or people. Ex: Which book do you want? I want the blue one.

Which way will we go? I think we will turn right.

WHERE? We use where to ask questions about place and direction. Ex: Where do you live? I live in Yenişehir.

Where are you going? I’m going to Market 

Where is the bank? It is near the cafe.

WHAT TIME? Asking about the time. Ex: What time is it? It is ten past nine.

What time does the film start? The film starts at 7 o’clock.

WHAT DATE? Asking for the dates. Ex: What date is it today? It is 15th of December.

What is the date today? It is 26th of September.

WHY? It is used to say reason. Ex: Why are you late? Because I missed the bus 

Why didn’t you come to the school? Because I was ill.

HOW? How are you?

How do you go to school? By bus.

HOW OFTEN? Ex: How often do you go to the cinema? I never go to cinema, because there aren’t any cinemas in Mardin.

How often do you visit your grandparents? I visit them twice a week
