Perry High School is a Title I School

What is Title I? Title I provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or percentages of socio-economically challenged students At Perry High Title I funds are used to ensure that ALL students meet challenging state academic standards

A schoolwide plan is developed each year with the help of: Administrators Teachers Central office personnel Parents Community members

Goals: Decrease grade retentions by due to credit deficiencies by 5% thereby increasing the graduation rate Achievements Specialist (1 full-time, 1 part-time) Paraprofessional Targeted study skills classes/remediation Progress monitoring

Goals: Increase CCRPI Achievement and progress points by 2 per year Provide instructional resources for teachers Supplemental technology and classroom tools for students Provide targeted academic assistance based on student needs Increase stakeholder engagement by 5% in order to increase student achievement Parent Involvement Coordinator Resources for parent engagement events Computer, calculators, KUTA software, Datalink for data analysis

Title I Requirements: Parent Involvement Maintain an Inventory of purchased items Supplement Instruction Provide credentials for Staff Hold an annual meeting for Parents

WE NEED YOU! Become a member of the Parent Action Team (PAT) lead by our Parent Involvement Coordinator: Traci Williams The first Meeting will be: September 12@ 6:00 pm PHS Media Center

At the PAT Meeting we will: Discuss the Parent Satisfaction Survey Review the 1-year Action plan Discuss Parent Involvement

Parent Involvement (Title 1 handbook) Student, Teacher and Parent Compact Right to Request Teacher Qualification Highly Qualified Status of Staff Parent Involvement Plan Parent Information Nights through out the school year for each grade level
