Arms crossed! 6. Take out a pen! 7. Open your books! 8. Write! 9. Hand in your books! Use this photo template to introduce and practise the classroom instructions used by a teacher, e.g. teacher calls out an instruction and pupils volunteer which picture number it is; use it for noughts & crosses; point & say instruction – pupils imitate the photo if the picture and teacher’s instruction match (or the opposite); use grid to print out and play kinaesthetic listening (teacher goes through instructions in a certain order (increasing in speed) and pupils must put their pictures in the order they hear the instructions; play ‘Simon says’ etc. 7 8 9
