MiCloud Office Using VLAN Tags Andrew Jane 22 November, 2018

Use Case A customer requires Mitel’s Deskphones to switch to a voice vlan. LLDP is disabled Local access to every phone is timer prohibitive

How To Use the Deskphone configuration settings to define the VLAN ID. The VLAN ID relates to the ”voice vlan” The PC port continues to use the native vlan defined on the network switch.

Boot Up Order Boot One Boot Two Power up LLDP Check. (Disabled) DHCP RCS Check Config File Received VLAN ID Changed Phone Reboots Repeat Sequence Pull Firmware Phone Up

Warning If you set set the wrong VLAN ID the only option to recover the phone is manual; using the reset to factory defaults. Reason The VLAN ID is stored directly on the phones memory so it is saved over a power cycle.
