The Danish structure Ministry of the Interior Ministry of Environment The association of local goverments The singel municipality Other public funded associations

Ministry of the Interior Set the legal frames for the local goverments Negotiate the finansial conditions with the association of local goverments Is responsible for implementing the changes in Danish law ( EU-directives into the local goverments politics

Ministry of Environment Negotiate environmental issues with the association of local goverments. Have an advisory bord of puchase managers

The association of local goverments By the ownership of SKI concluding environmentally sound framework agreements. Inform the municipalities about news.

The singel municipality Are responsible for its own purchasing policy Can under the frame of the national law decide the level of green goods/services purchased

Other public funded organisations SKI The Danish A-club Green network Ect.

The Danish A-Club The Municipality of Kolding is a member of the A-Club, funded by the Danish Electricity-Conserving Fund The A-Club is a network for public and private purchasers of energy consuming apparatuses and systems The A-Club have 140 members

The Danish A-Club Members are committed to purchase energy efficient apparatuses when available use the A-club’s purchase guidelines Purchase Guidelines offered by the A-Club makes it easier to find energy efficient apparatuses are easy applicable and operative The A-club also offers system solutions such as energy efficient ventilation systems at schools or energy efficient lightning personal guidance on purchase technical matters

Green Purchasing and Energy Efficiency There are several reasons why energy efficiency should be taken into account It gives lower running costs It reduces environmental impacts through reduced CO2 emissions It contributes to fulfilling International declarations
