Year 2 Spring 2 - HOMEWORK Secret Garden Science Keep a diary of all the different types of plants you eat over a week. Find out where they are grown and what conditions they need. Make a working model demonstrating how plants feed. Year 2 Spring 2 - HOMEWORK Secret Garden Creative Design and make a 3D model of a new park for the local area. Basic Skills English Maths Practise reading your book to an adult everyday. Discuss the characters, setting and the story plot. Look at Non-fiction books. Discuss the features. Learn and practise writing your weekly spellings. Practise your new handwriting skills and use these in all writing. Read and answer the questions from your Bug club books. Learn and be able to say all the number bonds to 10, 20, 100 Talk about the tens and ones in two digit number e.g. 14 is one 10 and four 1s. Understand the value of numbers to 100. Practise coin recognition and understand the value of each. Practise and learn the 2, 5, and 10 times tables. Maths Plant a seed and record a table/graph of how much it grows over a few weeks. Using 2D shapes create a moasic of a plant. English Use your imagination and write a story about going on an adventure in a canal boat. Who, are you with, where are you going? What happens along the way? Expectations Basic skills are to be practised each week. You can do all the other activities if you wish. However, at least 3 other tasks MUST be completed. To be returned by- Monday 26th March. Topic Design and make a plant pot using a recycled item. How adventurous can you be?
