VEX ROBOTICS

General Information Design, Build, Program, Test Robots Basic Parts are: Cortex (brain), Motors (movement), Metal (structure) Compete in Regional Competitions Compete in State Competitions Compete in Worlds Competitions

Specific Information Build in teams of 4-8 Time Commitment Variable (4-8 hrs/week) Meetings occur at members’ houses with just their team and as a club in a central location

financial commitment $250-300 registration Field and Meeting Space - Potential lease in Redmond Note: If lease falls through then dues may reduce to $60 Game Objects Club t-shirts Mentors Money for parts $250-300/person for the first year Decreases over time (More materials needed later, but expected to be lower than the first year upfront cost)

Team members don’t have to be from STEM!! Talk to your friends at other schools if you would like to form a team together. If you can’t find a team today that is ok and expected. We will coordinate team creation for those people after today

I must add you to the club account so you receive a 917 team number and pay $50 less!
