Physiographic Features Map

Physio means “physical” Graphic means “written down or recorded” Feature means “a particular characteristic of something”

Thus, a physiographic feature is a physical characteristic of the land- a lake, a mountain, a river, a desert- that is recorded on a map.

Physiographic Features Map 1. Read the question, identify the physiographic feature in your atlas, answer the question on your handout. 2. Have teacher check your answers 3. Label the physiographic features on the map using the symbols that correspond with the map’s key. You only need to label the features identified in the questions.(20 features) 4. Use color to help identify the features

Process it! - Left Side of Notebook DIRECTIONS: Create an advertisement for a travel tour celebrating Latin American geographic diversity. Choose the four stops on the tour that best represent the region’s diversity. Advertisements must include a bold title, a visual for each of the four stops, a catchy slogan to entice tourists, and other touches common in print advertisements. Use colored pencils or markers to add creative touches!
