Special Course for Tajikistan officials On Space Technology Applications at IIRS Sponsored by Eurasia Division, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) norms. 4- week programme 60 participants (in 3 themes of 20 each) Theme 1: Land Resources Management - June 7 – July 3, 2017 (completed) Basics of Remote Sensing and GPS (2½ days) GIS Fundamentals (2 days) Geospatial applications (two weeks) Pilot Projects on RS and GIS Applications (1 week) Field visit Theme 2: Agricultural Resource Management- July 19 – August 14, 2017 (Ongoing) Theme 3: Disaster Management Support- December 4 - 29, 2017 (forthcoming) The participants given a feedback of >90 % satisfaction for the course.

What we can offer India is willing to share its experiences in using space technology for national development and societal applications. The following three areas could be considered for possible space cooperation: Establishing a ground station to receive, process and disseminate data from Indian Remote Sensing satellites for use in various remote sensing applications Customised training on specific areas of space technology applications including natural resources assessment and disaster management support Building and launching of satellites
