Executive Highlight Report NLG(18)103 Service Strategy: Executive Highlight Report for the Trust Board Richard Sunley Deputy Chief Executive & Director of Operations [Please also refer to supporting papers NLG(18)126: Integrated Performance Report & NLG(18)127: Improving Together Report]

Issues of Concern / Risks to Delivery & Mitigation Actions Haematology Strategy: Timescale to share preliminary modelling of scenarios of future acute hospital service provision including facilitated clinical discussions. NLaG/HEY working through to 28th March for headlines. Immunology Strategy: Priority following resignation of single handed immunologist. Red rated as HEY can not support due to workforce shortages. Division seeking locum. Majority of allergy care is delivered in primary care in other areas, view of outgoing clinician is 90% can transfer. HEY already implemented shift. Neurology: Single handed service with no capacity to support any further from HEY. Requested this be looked at PAN STP – requested support from HCV STP at Jan HASR Executive. Paediatric Strategy: Maternity decisions can not be made without reviewing paediatric and neonatal services. Resources not available to meet turnaround timescales hence red rating. NHSi support offered, NLaG accepted. PC requested review to include HEY and Sheffield Childrens, NHSi agreed in principle. NHSi have sourced external support, terms of engagement being worked through during Mar/Apr.
