St Peter’s Catholic College, Tuggerah 2012 Cambodia Trip on behalf of the Tabitha Foundation

Trip Objective 22 students will be travelling to Cambodia with the intention to build approximately 11 houses for Cambodians who are living in impoverished areas with the intention to improve their livelihoods.

What is Tabitha? Tabitha is a non-profit organisation with all funds used to help the poorest people in Cambodia by running self-help programs focusing on personal and financial development and community pride. The house building program began in 1996 with a focus on International schools.

The Building Process

Who Will Build the Houses? The students themselves will partake in the building of these houses along side the family members who will be living in the house after we leave. The relationships that the students develop with the local Cambodian people is a life changing experience for all involved.

Before building can occur the money needs to be raised for the cost of each house. Each house will cost $1,500 Plus a $2,000 gratitude donation Totalling $18,500

Fundraising So far, students have begun their journey towards Cambodia through a variety of different fundraisers, including – Raffles Mufti Days BBQs Taste Testings

Donations and Sponsorships Our target is high and our road is long but with some community support we will make an impact on the lives of the Cambodians.

If you wish to make a money donation please visit the Tabitha website http://www.tabitha.org.au/cms/st-peters-tuggerah-dec-2012 and donate directly online. Be sure to leave a message with the name of your business so we can acknowledge your contribution in our college newsletter and on the Cambodia trip website www.cambodiatrip.weebly.com

All Donations are 100% tax deductible and donating businesses will be strongly acknowledged and promoted amongst our College and wider community. If you require anything further from the college to assist in your donation please see the attached letter on the Cambodia trip website or contact Fiona Brown or Ashley Sadler at the college on 43512344
